Objective: A deploy is a checklist, not a memory test.

Files:

  • Create: docs/deploy.md

Steps:

  1. Prerequisites, required env vars, and where the secrets live.
  2. Order of operations: build → migrate → release → healthcheck.
  3. Backups and the rollback procedure.
  4. How to re-run the data import against production (and why it is idempotent).

Verify: someone who has never deployed this app can follow it end to end.
